Did you have a lovely Valentine's Day? I took the day off work to spend with my family. Here is a little of what my Valentine's Day looked like. First off here is one of my cards that I made. We actually made this at club last month. Second, I made these Awesome Pull Apart Sticky Buns, which I will now rename Valentine's Day Pull Apart Sticky Buns. I like having recipes that I make once a year for special occasions and this one is just that good that I needed to share. Thanks for sharing it with me Jackie.
I will now share this awesome recipe with you, your family will love these. The key is that they need to be eaten fresh out of the oven so keep that in mind when you are making them. Your family will love you if you make these for them.
Valentine's Day Pull Apart Sticky Buns
3/4 Cup Pecans
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Butter
2 Cans Refrigerated Country Biscuits
1/3 Cup Maple Syrup
1 Package Cream Cheese
1/2 cup Sugar
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees. Spray a fluted bunt pan with cooking spray. Sprinkle pecans in the prepared bunt pan and set aside. Melt two table spoons of butter in a microwave safe dish. Add syrup and mix well. Drizzle over pecans. Melt remaining 6 tablespoons of butter and set aside. Mix sugar and cinnamon and set aside. Separate dough into 20 biscuits, press each slightly into 1/4 inch thickness. Cut 20 cream cheese cubes and roll them individually in the cinnamon sugar. Place one coated cream cheese chunk into each biscuit and gather the edges around the cream cheese. Dip the first 10 biscuits in butter and then the cinnamon sugar and place around the bottom of the pan to form the first layer. Repeat this process for the last 10 biscuits to form the second layer. Drizzle the remaining butter and cinnamon sugar on top. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool in pan for 2 minutes and then invert it on a serving dish. Serve warm.
Here is a sweet Valentine that I helped my sister in law make for my Nephew's Ja (on the left) & D (on the right). I use the term "help" loosely. I simply added the text to the picture and did a little editing for her using Picnik, she put the rest of them together. I did however really enjoy doing this project with her. They turned out really cute don't you think.
I sure hope your Valentine's Day was sweet and special.
I made the buns too... they are AWESOME!!
